Chris Paul is trying to lead the Phoenix Suns to the second round of the 2022 NBA playoff against a young and hardworking New Orleans Pelicans team. Their series is currently tied 2-2, with the Pelicans having some impressive performances against the 1st seed in the Western Conference.
After Devin Booker went down with an injury at the start of the series, the veteran point guard took the responsibility of leading his team to the next round. This isn’t anything new for Paul, but the Pels have proven to be an even harder rival.
CP3 is trying to do anything he can to lead his squad to the next round, even if that means playing mind games. The Point God is an expert at that and Game 4 of the series showed him doing his thing against some young Pelicans players.
One fan shared a video of Paul doing his thing against some players to try to mess up with their heads, but the Pelicans weren’t having any of that. Instead of getting intimidated, they replied to the 36-year-old with the same energy.
Chris Paul is elite, but he’s also an irritant. So, I really commend the Pelicans’ rookies for reciprocating CP3’s energy instead of folding. Jose Alvarado and Herbert Jones are tough!👏🏾 #NBAPlayoffs pic.twitter.com/Os1IDtuJuW

CP3 is great at messing with other players’ heads, and this is not the first time he’s done it. It’s cool to see that the Pelicans aren’t falling for it and are ready for whatever trick Paul may have.
Tonight, the series returns to Phoenix, where the playmaker will try to take a crucial Game 5 and see if he can finish the job in NOLA in the next match. However, he first needs to win this match against a dangerous rival. Paul has had some difficult games against his former team, but also others that reminded people why he’s one of the greatest point guards of all time.
