Luka Doncic put on an incredible performance in Game 5 against the Utah Jazz. With the series tied 2-2, Doncic was on fire last night, as he helped the Dallas Mavericks blow out the Jazz and take a 3-2 lead against them. The Mavericks are now 1 game away from reaching the second round of the playoffs. After the game, Doncic got some high praise and had a fun interaction with a legend of the game.
Luka Doncic spoke to the Inside The NBA crew after his scintillating performance against the Utah Jazz. Shaquille O’Neal asked Luka Doncic how he would say ‘good job’ in Slovenian, which Doncic then taught him how to say. After the pleasantries were exchanged, Luka Doncic hilariously quipped that he would teach Shaquille O’Neal the bad words in his language off camera.
Shaq: "Teach me how to say 'great job' in your language please."
Luka Doncic: "Zelo dobro."
Shaq: "Zelo Dobro, brother. Zelo dobro."
Luka: "I'll teach you the bad words later." 🤣https://t.co/1v43Qd9OFQ

It was a hilarious interaction between Luka and Shaq, but it was not the first time Shaq has tried to dabble in a foreign language. Earlier this season, Shaquille O’Neal went out of his way to learn how to say ‘big honey’ in Serbian as a way to compliment Nikola Jokic and better explain his nickname. But it didn’t quite work out, as Jokic hilariously informed Shaq that he had mistakenly called him ‘big soul’.
Luka Doncic will be looking to close out the series in Game 6, as the Mavericks head to Utah. It will be a tough game for the Mavs, as the Jazz has shown they can play well against the Mavs. But the Mavericks have momentum on their side, especially now that Doncic has returned from his injury and looks ready to go.
