Nikola Jokic is one of the best players in the league, and he was the 2020-21 MVP. He is widely viewed as the best passing big man ever, and there is no doubt that he has been key for the Nuggets this season with Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. being absent for the majority of the season. Currently, Nikola Jokic is putting up 25.4 PPG, 13.8 RPG, and 7.9 APG.
The Denver Nuggets defeated the New Orleans Pelicans recently, and Nikola Jokic was key to their win. Nikola Jokic put up 30 points in the 4th quarter and overtime, and it is obvious that he showed up when the game was on the line.
Twitter page StatMuse pointed out that Nikola Jokic matched a Wilt Chamberlain feat with his performance, as he is only the 2nd player to ever put up a 45-point triple-double on 70% shooting after Wilt Chamberlain.
Nikola Jokic tonight:
46 PTS (30 in 4Q and OT)
12 REB
11 AST
3 STL
4 BLK
16-22 FG
He is the 2nd player in NBA history with a 45-point triple-double on 70% shooting. The other was Wilt Chamberlain. pic.twitter.com/2GLnZnDWfr

There is no doubt that Nikola Jokic has an insane ability to generate offense for himself and his teammates. He can score at all three levels, and can also set up teammates for open looks. Part of his production is by necessity due to the Denver Nuggets’ injury situation, but it is impressive nonetheless. Hopefully, Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. make their returns from injury soon, to ease some of the offensive load that Nikola Jokic is currently carrying. It is clear how valuable he is, and it was reported that Nikola Jokic is expected to sign a supermax extension with the Denver Nugget during free agency this summer.
The Denver Nuggets are currently the 6th seed in the Western Conference, and they are managing to avoid the play-in tournament successfully. If they get healthy, they could potentially be a championship contender. Hopefully, we see a full-strength Nuggets team in the future.
