LeBron James manages to surpass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time scoring record today. However, the night was not a fully good one for the Los Angeles Lakers, as they lost a close game to the Golden State Warriors.

There is no doubt that this was not a good night by LeBron James’ standards. He only went 9-27 for 26 points but added 15 rebounds and 8 assists. After the game, LeBron James took responsibility for the loss, claiming that he didn’t “make enough plays down the stretch”.

LeBron: “I didn’t make enough plays down the stretch to help our ball club win.”

There is no question that this was a tough loss for the Los Angeles Lakers. This was a game against a Western Conference contender, and a win could have put the Los Angeles Lakers in the right direction towards a second-half of the season run.

The Los Angeles Lakers didn’t make any trades during the deadline, which means that they will be staying put with the roster that they currently have unless they manage to acquire a free agent via the buyout market. They have most recently been linked with Goran Dragic though, so perhaps there is some help on the way for the team.

On the bright side, the Los Angeles Lakers were definitely better today in terms of defense. The team seemed a lot more active on that end of the floor. Hopefully, that sort of defense continues for the team.

It remains to be seen how well the Los Angeles Lakers will do for the rest of the season. They have struggled all this year, but perhaps with the trade deadline behind them, they will be able to focus more on the future. The Los Angeles Lakers have a lot of talent on the roster, and perhaps they will be able to figure out how it all fits together in the future.
