Joel Embiid Seemingly Calls Ben Simmons ‘Ultra Soft’ After Shaquille O’Neal Revealed That Simmons Angrily Messaged Him About His Comments

The Ben Simmons saga is seemingly no closer to an end than when it first started. Simmons has made his stance very clear; he no longer wants to play for the Philadelphia 76ers. But the 76ers front office is adamant that they will not be trading him unless they get an offer that they deem worthwhile.

Simmons’ reluctance to put on the uniform and play for the Philadelphia 76ers has drawn a lot of criticism. Many insiders and legends feel that Simmons is doing himself no favors with his behavior, and many people have slammed him for the way he has acted throughout this entire situation.

One legend who has been extremely critical of Ben Simmons so far is Shaquille O’Neal. O’Neal called Ben Simmons soft during an episode of Inside The NBA on TNT. And those comments did not go down well with Simmons, as Shaquille O’Neal revealed that Simmons angrily DM’d him over those comments.

It appears that Simmons’ disgruntled teammate, Joel Embiid, has reacted to this revelation from O’Neal. Joel Embiid posted a picture of Charmin’s Ultra Soft toilet paper without any caption. It seems that Embiid is agreeing with Shaquille O’Neal’s assessment, and is doubling down on those comments now that Simmons actually got upset over Shaq’s comments.

Simmons DMing Shaq did his reputation of being a ‘crybaby’ no favors, as his stock continues to go down. Simmons and Embiid have had a turbulent relationship, and it was recently revealed that he was very upset about Embiid’s comment after their playoff exit, as he felt that he never blamed Embiid after their playoff exit in 2019.

Going forward, Simmons will be desperately hoping that he gets traded from the 76ers. But the 76ers seem very reluctant to let him go. The prevailing opinion across the league is that Simmons will probably not get traded before the deadline, and he will be hoping for a better opportunity during the offseason.
