When it comes to criticizing and bashing the Lakers, none are better than the NBA on TNT crew. Every time they talk about the 17x Champs, it comes with some pretty harsh rhetoric that often reflects exactly what the fans are thinking.

On Friday, Lakers big man Dwight Howard got a chance to dish some heat back their way before the game.

As Dwight is informed of the broadcasting crew that night, he makes some pretty funny comments before breaking out into a Barkley impression:

Dwight actually has a bit of history with some of the panel members. He and Shaq have had some beef for a while now, and the current Lakers center actually had to address it during an interview with Taylor Rooks.

“It’s like every time something goes on it seems like he has an issue with me, or he’s talking bad about me. For me, it’s like ‘I don’t care about no Superman name. It’s just a name and there are so many people around the world who carry that name and it should be bigger than just what you do on the basketball court. How you live your life, how you treat people, how you carry yourself. Your character. To me, that’s Superman, and that ‘S’ it stands for hope…it was nothing to do with Shaq. Nothing to be like him or anything like that.”

Today, Dwight hears it now more than ever as the Lakers are struggling. While Shaq, Chuck, and the rest of the guys might be the loudest about it, everyone in the NBA community has taken some shots at the Purple and Gold.

Good on Dwight for dishing some out in return and taking it all like a true champ.

Hopefully, he keeps that positive attitude and helps restore the Lakers to their Championship ways.
