Nikola Jokic Has Big Praise For Steven Adams: “I Think He’s A Great Player. He’s The Most Real Player Ever. He Doesn’t Talk That Much.”

The Denver Nuggets and Memphis Grizzlies went head-to-head recently. It was a matchup between Nikola Jokic and Ja Morant as well. When the dust settled, Morant and co. came out victorious as he had yet another sensational game.

On the other hand, the reigning MVP of the Denver Nuggets did everything in his power to help his team win the game but failed to do so. Jokic finished the fixture with a triple-double as he recorded 26 points, 11 rebounds, and 12 assists.

The Serbian superstar was marked by one of the most consistent in the league, Steven Adams. Adams has been in the league for nine seasons and has played over 600 games in the league.

Unfortunately, Adams couldn’t stop Jokic from getting his usual numbers in the fixture. On that note, Jokic was asked about facing Adams after the game. Knowing the Serbian, he rarely likes to get on the bad side of any players. Apart from, of course, when he got in a heated scuffle against Markieff Morris.

Anyway, Jokic gave a very nice answer about facing the Memphis Grizzlies center. He said:

“I think he’s a great player. He’s the most real player ever. He doesn’t talk that much. We are fighting. It’s a wrestle down there. He’s a strong guy. I like the accent. I think he’s having his own language.”

Asked Nikola about Steven Adams: “I think he’s a great player. He’s the most real player ever. He doesn’t talk that much. We are fighting. It’s a wrestle down there. He’s a strong guy. I like the accent. I think he’s having his own language.”

The 26-year-old had nothing but praise for Adams. Since both the players aren’t from America, they have common ground to connect over.

Apart from his good nature, Adams is also a great basketball player. He understands his role perfectly and fulfills it to perfection. So far this season, the Kiwi basketballer has been averaging 6.7 points, 9.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.6 blocks per game. Since he plays around 25-26 minutes each game, these are decent numbers for a role player.

Moreover, he is a veteran presence in the Grizzlies’ locker room. Adams can serve as a mentor for the likes of Jared Jackson Jr. and help him turn further to improve his game as the young forward spends more time in the NBA.
