Russell Westbrook And Aaron Gordon Had Heated Exchange During Lakers-Nuggets Game

The Los Angeles Lakers were absolutely dominated by the Denver Nuggets on Saturday night, beating the Californians with a 133-96 outcome at Ball Arena. The Lakers didn’t stand a chance against the Nuggets, who took care of things quickly to win an easy game.

In the middle of the action, Russell Westbrook and Aaron Gordon starred in a controversial moment when the two players went at it after Gordon stopped Westbrook from scoring.

The Los Angeles Lakers star attempted to drive to the lane, but Gordon wouldn’t allow him. After the former Orlando Magic player bumped Westbrook, the point guard didn’t hesitate and started trash-talking to Gordon.

Referees and teammates got in the middle of the situation before it escalated, but Russ and Aaron had time to say some things to each other. Saturday night was moved for the league, as Luka Doncic and Moe Wagner also went at it, getting a technical foul for their actions.

Gordon and Westbrook suffered the same punishment, getting a double tech after things cooled off. In the end, Gordon had the last laugh, as the Nuggets won the match, sending a big message to the Lakers and the rest of the Western Conference.

Meanwhile, the Lakers are under fire, with legends, current players and fans asking the players to do better and lift their level. Things look very complex for them right now and it’s unclear if this squad can do the job the way it’s assembled.

Once again, they are under .500, which didn’t sit well with Lakers Nation. Changes need to be made if they aspire to even make it to the playoffs, as the Lakers look worse by the day. Time will tell how this situation unfolds, but the picture isn’t that promising for the Purple and Gold.
