DeMarcus Cousins is once again in the league, news that fans of his will cherish. Cousins, who once seemed primed to be a superstar in the NBA, has suffered from injuries over the last few years and has bounced around the league, not being able to make a home for himself at any franchise.

But now he has joined the Milwaukee Bucks, a move that brings him back to the NBA.  One fan, in particular, was thrilled to have Cousins back, and even went to the game to see him. Before the game, he got Cousins’ attention and was able to take a picture and get Cousins to sign a jersey for him.

During the interaction, one of the members of the security staff came to monitor the situation, asking Cousins to maintain his distance. Boogie remarked and told the security staff to not take his job so seriously, and that he’s happy to sign the fan’s jersey for him.

The security staff’s concern was understandable, given the NBA’s plight with the COVID-19 situation. Any interaction with non-essential people could have dire ramifications for the franchise, and the league as a whole. But clearly, Cousins wasn’t going to let that get in the way of interacting with his fans.

Cousins’ latest return to the NBA has caused some controversy, with many fans accusing Cousins of once again ring-chasing, after playing for the Warriors, Lakers, and the Clippers over the last few years. And him joining the reigning NBA champions is not helping the argument against that.

Whether Boogie Cousins is able to win an NBA championship with Milwaukee will remain to be seen. Cousins really wants to be on a team that wins an NBA championship and is willing to take any role necessary in order to be able to fulfill that goal.
