Kyrie Irving has not yet played a game for the Brooklyn Nets this season, due to his status as a player that is unvaccinated for COVID-19. However, it seems as though that is about to change.

Shams Charania of The Athletic has recently revealed that Kyrie Irving has “started the process to return to the Brooklyn Nets” and that he “will play in road games” for the Brooklyn Nets.

Just in: All-NBA star Kyrie Irving has started process to return to the Brooklyn Nets, sources tell The Athletic and Stadium. Irving is ramping up, has begun team COVID-19 testing, and his season debut date is still to be determined.

Kyrie Irving was a crucial part of the Brooklyn Nets last season, and even though he will only be able to play away games, this is certainly a good thing for the Brooklyn Nets. The Brooklyn Nets are the 1st seed in the Eastern Conference this year, but they definitely did not look like the dominant force they were last season.

There are a lot of fans who will welcome Kyrie Irving’s return to the Nets. We will get to see the Nets with all of their stars at some point in the future, and that will certainly be a sight to behold.
