Stephen Curry has broken the all-time 3PT record today surpassing Ray Allen by making 5 3PT shots against the New York Knicks. It was obviously expected by most people that he’d end up breaking it today, but it was still amazing when Curry managed to do it.

After the game, Stephen Curry received a 2974 jersey from Reggie Miller and Ray Allen. 2974 is obviously one more than Ray Allen’s 2973, and it’s clear that the jersey symbolizes Stephen Curry’s legendary achievement. Stephen Curry also commented on his achievement and the jersey when receiving it.

This is pretty special man. I’ve been thinking about this number for a long time, and I’ve even got it on my shoes. Basketball history, this is pretty special. Like I said, these two legends, I watched them growing up and understood what it meant to shoot the ball because of them and my dad. Full circle mode man, I’m blessed. Blessed for sure.

There is no question that this jersey is iconic, and Stephen Curry will now have something to always remember this game by. It was unclear whether the Golden State Warriors would end up winning after Curry broke the record, as their game against their Knicks was very close at the time. However, the Golden State Warriors did end up winning the game, and the mood in Golden State will obviously be merry after this game.

The Golden State Warriors are now 23-5, the best record in the Western Conference. There’s no question that they are a contending team, and a large part of that is Stephen Curry playing at an MVP level. Hopefully, this stellar play continues from Curry and the team. No one, not even Dell Curry knew that Stephen Curry would be this great, and he still has plenty of time to add to his legacy.
