Adam Sandler has been very close to the NBA world in recent days. He linked up with several stars for a pickup game, showing his abilities in the gym.

Although he’s not close to the NBA level, he can play well in pickup matches. Plenty of videos about him have surfaced in recent years, showing how good Sandler actually is.

Now he’s getting a little closer to the biggest circles of the league, preparing a new movie that will feature several stars and be produced by the biggest name in the league.

The comedian/actor is filming a new movie called ‘Hustle,’ which will include several NBA players, especially from the Philadelphia 76ers.

It’s safe to say that Adam Sandler is in his comfort zone filming his new movie involving the game of basketball called ‘Hustle.’ Sandler is a big hoops fan and loves showing up to random pickup games, and a game in the park seems to make up at least one scene in the movie.

It’s not just a pickup game with a bunch of unknown extras, however, Sandler called up a few Sixers to feature in the film. The comedy legend recently told Dan Patrick that Tobias Harris, Seth Curry, Matisse Thybulle, Tyrese Maxey, and even head coach Doc Rivers make an appearance in the movie.

Pictures also showed Juancho Hernangómez, who was recently traded from Minnesota to Memphis, filming a scene with Sandler in Philadelphia. Filming has been taking place all over the City of Brotherly Love for quite a while now.

This won’t be the first time Sandler makes a sports movie. He starred in ‘The Longest Yard,’ ‘Happy Gilmore,’ ‘The Waterboy,’ and ‘Uncut Gems,’ so this won’t be new for the 54-year-old.

LeBron James’ production company SpringHill Entertainment will be part of this, too, so the hype around the movie could get bigger in the upcoming months.

The release date is yet to be announced. The film will be on Netflix, not theaters.
