Adrian Wojnarowski Says James Harden Trade Sweepstakes Could Continue Into The “Foreseeable Future.”

2 Min Read

When it comes to James Harden and the Houston Rockets, nobody quite knows the status of their situation.

Despite Houston’s best efforts to convince James to stay, the superstar guard has remained firm in his trade demand, adding new teams to his list of preferred destinations seemingly every week.

With everything going on, one has to wonder how much longer this will continue to play out.

According to the latest update by Woj, it could be a while…

“I think it has a chance to continue into the foreseeable future. The Rockets know that to make a James Harden trade, they’ve got to get maximum value back in the trade market. They don’t need to rush this process, they have him under contract for two more years. They don’t want this cloud to hang over them… but as an organization, they know that they can’t do a bad deal. And right now, the deals that they see out there in the market place feel like they’re not good enough.”

It’s going to be nearly impossible for the Rockets to win a deal that involves trading away their best player, but it doesn’t mean they have to give him away for cheap.

Harden is an 8x All-Star and 3x Scoring Champ who has the power and talent to make any team instantly better. While his game and recent antics have jeopardized his legacy, he still has a lot of value and Houston doesn’t intend to give him up without a fight.
