Andrew Wiggins found a home for himself on the Golden State Warriors, becoming an important part of the team. Wiggins was instrumental in them winning their 4th championship in 8 seasons in 2022.

And while he was consistent again this season, things have gone downhill. Andrew Wiggins has missed many games due to personal reasons for the Golden State Warriors, and the latest reports aren’t very positive either.

“I was told last night Andrew Wiggins likely doesn’t return for the season,” said NBA analyst Colin Cowherd.

Not having Andrew Wiggins is a big blow for the Warriors, he provides consistent scoring to go along with top defensive ability. He has morphed into the ideal fit next to Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, but they might even have to figure out how to get to the playoffs and then navigate them without him.

No one would count out the Golden State Warriors as long as they have their core in the playoffs, but the importance of someone like Wiggins cannot be overstated. And more than anything else, the mystery surrounding his absence is what fans are worried about. It seems to be a family matter, with Steve Kerr admitting that even they don’t know how long it might take for the situation to improve.

Stephen Curry Spoke About Andrew Wiggins Missing Time

As the superstar of the Golden State Warriors, Stephen Curry was asked about Andrew Wiggins missing so many games for the Golden State Warriors. And he had this to say about the whole situation:

“Friend to friend, teammate to teammate, just sending him support,” Stephen Curry said when asked if he has been in contact with Wiggins lately. “It’s a tough situation in terms of him being away for so long. But life is bigger than basketball. Whatever him and his family going through, that’s all that matters. Whenever he’s ready to come back, I’m sure he will. That’s how he’s built in terms of being available.”

The Warriors have won just 2 of their last 5 games, and their road record has continued to be a really big problem for them. Having Andrew Wiggins and his 17 points per game would make a huge difference for them, but the team seems committed to supporting him through this period. Whatever the issue with Andrew Wiggins is, hopefully, he and his family are okay, and we will know what’s going on soon.
