Anthony Davis unfollowed Stephen A. Smith soon after the Lakers’ 132-126 loss to the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday.

According to @theNBAalert, the Lakers big man unfollowed the ESPN analyst soon after registering a dominant 40-point performance.

Smith is known for not mincing his words and recently, he came under fire for calling out Davis after the latter sustained a head injury in Game 5 against the Golden State Warriors. He did apologize later on, but there was no doubt that Davis would have been peeved.

It could also be that Davis wanted to block out all the noise with the Lakers gunning for a championship. Their focus is on the Nuggets and two-time MVP Nikola Jokic.

Anthony Davis Makes It Clear He Wants To Win Another Championship

Earlier, Davis emphasized that the Lakers were far from done. He also added for good measure that he was hungry for another title.

“Our guys, they’re hungry, they want it,” Anthony Davis said, per Bleacher Report. “Just like me and Bron want another one. Now it’s time to go get it. Unfinished business. Now, we gotta go into Denver with that mindset.”

Davis was absolutely sensational in Game 1 vs. the Nuggets with 40 points, but it wasn’t enough to propel the Lakers over the line. Now, they have Game 2 looming and he will be keen to set things right with James, who has been relatively quiet in the postseason himself.

It’s admirable to see how the Lakers shaped up, especially after a turbulent start to the season. Now, they will need to see their mission through, and given AD’s actions, he’s all but ready for it.
