LeBron James broke Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time scoring record last season. He now holds the record with 38,652 to his name. He’s obviously one of the greatest scorers to ever play the game.

But according to former Boston Celtics forward Antoine Walker, LeBron James is not on his list of the top five greatest NBA scorers of all time.

“First obviously I got the greatest scorer ever in obviously Michael Jordan,” Walker said in a recent episode I Am Athlete podcast. “I don’t think nobody is gonna argue that on who’s gonna be the greatest. Then obviously, I got Kobe Bryant. I’ve obviously been in the same draft with him, and just seeing his ability to score the basketball was just like Michael and did it in all three facets, so that’s my guy.”

Walker added: “And then Larry Bird is three. A lot of people may wonder why I picked Larry Bird, but Larry Bird was an unbelievable scorer. Just go through the film, look back, look at his career numbers, look at the stats, look at the efficiency, and the way he scored from the three and the two-point line and obviously the free-throw line. Just one of the greatest scorers.”

Walker’s list so far was great. For the fourth and fifth spots, he named Allen Iverson and Wilt Chamberlain.

“Then I had to put AI [Allen Iverson], just because we may never see it again, a guy his size to have that type of ability to score the basketball,” Walker continued. “Playing against AI and seeing him do it with 6’3″, 6’4″ guys guarding him, it’s something special to see. So I got AI at four. And then we got to put Wilt Chamberlain in there. Obviously, the numbers speak for itself for Wilt. So that’s my top five of all time.”

The former NBA player’s list didn’t include LeBron James. He addressed snubbing him from his list of the NBA’s top five greatest scorers ever.

“A lot of people may think LeBron because obviously he got the scoring title,” the 46-year-old said. “LeBron’s probably six or seven. Trying to think of another guy we got to put in there, but LeBron’s probably six right behind this list right here for me.”

Antoine Walker snubbed both LeBron James and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar from his all-time scoring list. It’s shocking since James and Kareem hold the top two spots in NBA’s most points scored ever.

Is LeBron James The Greatest Scorer Of All Time?

LeBron James may hold the NBA’s scoring title right now, but does that mean he’s the best scorer of all time?

Well, many believe James’ feat is due to his insane longevity. Being consistent for 20 seasons is an achievement in itself, but it doesn’t magically make James the best scorer ever.

Our writer, Eddie Bitar, wrote a detailed article with facts and stats that prove James is not the greatest scorer of all time.

However, he deserves a spot in any top-five scoring list. Snubbing him from that is simply unreasonable. Even in his 20th season, James averaged 28.9 points per game, which was an incredibly tough achievement.
