Ben Simmons Is Playing Worse When He Is Single

2 Min Read

No matter your stance on superstitions, tradition, and routine, the numbers never lie. For even the most avid critics out there, they can’t argue that Ben Simmons is better when he’s taken. The stats are petty overwhelming.

This season seems to be especially challenging for the third-year star. Despite the limitless potential and a loaded roaster, he has struggled to improve his shot and help his team meet expectations.

Nobody knows why Simmons has yet to break out as the superstar we know he can be, but there seems to be a correlation between his play and his relationship status.

Statistically, his numbers are much better when he has been in a relationship with a woman vs when he has been single. His points, assists, and rebounding numbers are at their best when he is taken, specifically over his four relationships with Dylan Gonzalez, Tinashe, and Kendall Jenner (they broke up and got back together later).

The most glaring difference seems to be during the 2017-18 season. When dating Dylan Gonzalez, hs averaged 2.4 more points, 2.2 more assists, and .7 more rebounds per game.

He is currently dating Kendall Jenner again, and though he and his team are struggling, things would apparently be much worse if he was a single man.

We all have our thing and for Ben, women seem to be his drive to perform better. Or maybe when he’s single, he’s more distracted trying to search for a mate?

Whatever the case, perhaps slowing down and getting committed to Kendall is the best thing for both his personal life and basketball life. We’ll see how it plays out.
