Charles Barkley Says The Warriors Have A Bright Future Ahead: “Wiseman, Kuminga, Poole, Moody, This Team Can Be Great For A Long Long Time.”

Charles Barkley has had a frosty relationship with the Golden State Warriors, especially during the team’s 2022 championship run. When the Warriors were facing the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals, Barkley was pelted with water bottles by Warriors fans during an open set edition of Inside the NBA outside the Oracle Arena.

Even if the Warrior fans have given Barkley enough reason to hold a grudge, he can’t argue the basketball aspect of it. The Golden State Warriors are the best team right now and are still set up to dominate for 10 more years with a fantastic crop of young talent coming through.

Barkley was full of praise for the young quartet of stars in Golden State that set them up for more years of success in Jordan Poole, Jonathan Kuminga, James Wiseman, and Moses Moody.

“Well, they’ve done a tremendous job … they’ve got a great organization, they’ve got great players, their general manager — what he’s doing is incredible. Like I say, I haven’t even mentioned James Wiseman. You think about that, they’ve got Wiseman, [Jonathan] Kuminga, [Jordan] Poole, [Moses] Moody, this team can be great for a long long time. I know the older guys are getting long in the tooth, but if these guys can play, they can be really good for the next 10 years.” (h/t NBC Sports)

Barkley knows good team building when he sees it and can recognize the Warriors are set up to be extremely dangerous for years to come. The current core is aging out, but they have mentored deputies that can carry the flag forward.

There will be some pain for the Warriors in trying to fit all the players in the same window and avoid salary cap issues, but if anyone can do it, it is Bob Myers and the Golden State Warriors.
