Colin Cowherd Says Kawhi Leonard Will Be A Top 5 Player Of All-Time If He Wins The Championship This Season

2 Min Read

On his third team in three seasons, Kahwi Leonard has the chance to win his third NBA Championship and, subsequently, his third Finals MVP.

If Kahwi wins it all this season, it would also mean his three Chips came with three different teams, two of which had never won one before his arrival.

It would be a pretty epic accomplishment for Leonard, but would it really make him a top-five player of All-Time? As crazy as it seems, Fox Sports analyst Colin Cowherd believes so…

Assuming the Clippers win the Finals, his All-Time list would go as follows: Jordan, LeBron, Kareem, Magic, and Kawhi.

Kahwi does have all the makings of an All-Time great. He’s dominant at both ends of the floor, is a huge difference-maker, has a history of success, and can elevate his game in the clutch.

All-in-all, it’s not a longshot to say Kawhi would be top-ten if he wins a title with the Clips this season. But top five might be going a bit too far, especially when Kawhi’s career is still unfolding. Magic, LeBron, Kareem, and Michael are all way ahead of Kawhi numbers-wise and each had a certain pull off the court that Kawhi just has never (or will never) have.

Only time will tell, but Leonard’s status as an All-Time great is still very much in the air at this point.
