Colin Cowherd Uses Hilarious Analogy To Explain What He Thinks Of Kyrie Irving: “I Look At Kyrie Like I Look At Cryptocurrency. There’s No Real Data To Indicate It’s A Great Investment, A Lot Of Speculation And It’s Highly Turbulent.”

Talent-wise, Kyrie Irving is, without a doubt, one of the most gifted players who have played in the NBA. His handles are out of the world, and he can score at will. But throughout the last season, he was in the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

Initially, he denied the league’s mandate to get vaccinated in order to play games. As a result, he was sidelined for almost the whole season. Even when he returned, it took him a little time to get adjusted to playing.

Unfortunately, by the time Kai could have regained his form, the Nets were already eliminated from the postseason. What’s even more surprising is the fact that the Nets were eliminated in the opening round of the postseason.

So over the last few weeks, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant have received a lot of hate. On top of that, Kyrie was due to sign a new contract this offseason. But as of now, it has been reported that Irving and the Nets have reached an impasse due to differences in the value of the new contract.

As we mentioned earlier, when he is focused, Kyrie is one of the best players in the league. But over the last three seasons, he barely played 100 games. Currently, it is very difficult to accurately give an estimate of his value.

On that note, NBA analyst Colin Cowherd made a hilarious analogy about Kyrie as he compared him to cryptocurrency.

“I look at Kyrie Irving sort of like I look at cryptocurrency. There is no real data to indicate it’s a great investment. Lot of speculation, highly turbulent, rarely reliable, and what does it really get me?”

While Kyrie is still just 30 years old and, when healthy, is an all-star level player, the Nets shouldn’t give in to his demands without first taking a look at all available options.

Because if they even slightly mess up handling this Irving situation, they can also lose Kevin Durant. After all, KD won’t stay with the Nets without another superstar player by his side.
