The Chicago Bulls lost a crucial duel against the Miami Heat on Monday night, which marked their second consecutive loss. This is normal when you’re competing in the NBA, but the last two defeats meant that the Bulls are now 6-15 against top-6 teams in both conferences.
This isn’t good for a team that wants to win the championship this year and is one of the top 2 squads in the East. Their numbers against the top teams raise some eyebrows around the league.
Nevertheless, their star DeMar DeRozan isn’t worried about that. After the 112-99 loss to the Miami Heat, the veteran forward refused that record was a source of concern for his team. The All-Star said there’s nothing to worry about and he’s confident in his team.

“I’m not concerned at all,” he said.
“What for?” DeRozan asked. “I’ve just got the utmost confidence in the guys. I do. In myself and the guys. As these next couple of weeks go by, being able to get guys back, that’s going to be another second wind for us. Emotionally. Physically. And just even more change the spirit of the team once we get those guys back. Even before those guys come back, I’m not worried. But I know once those guys come back, the energy in this team is definitely going to heighten even more just to have those guys back.”
The Chicago Bulls have assembled a talented team for this season, which is why they are one of the leaders of the East. However, they have suffered some injuries that have sidelined key players like Zach LaVine, Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso.
One imagines that this team at full strength will be a menace come playoffs time. DeRozan has been on a tear this season, even earning MVP consideration. The Bulls could shock the world this campaign, but we have to wait to see them with a healthy roster.
