Derrick Jones Explains LeBron James Wasn’t Comfortable With His Defense: “I Guess He’s A Great Actor. He Don’t Show It. He Play The World.”

Derrick Jones Jr. was on a different level on Monday night, especially when it came to guarding Los Angeles Lakers LeBron James. The Portland Trail Blazers earned a hard-fought victory from the Staples Center and DJJ played a big role in that win. Damian Lillard and Gary Trent Jr. carried the team but Jones also put up a show against James.

He recorded three blocks on Monday night, two of which were given to LeBron James, who was dominated at the rim by Jones on a couple of occasions. After the game was over, Derrick had some things to say about LeBron, as he explained what a “great actor” the King is. DJJ claimed he knew LeBron was annoyed with his defense but he knew how to hide it in front of everybody.

“I guess he’s a great actor. He don’t show it. He play the world,” Jones said when asked about LeBron’s reaction to his defense.

Jones was feeling himself last night, especially when he had to chase LeBron and block him. Even in dead plays, he showed up and blocked James although it didn’t count.

The Blazers earned a very big victory over the Lakers and now they’ll try to continue their good pace in the league after a rough start of the season. Jones had a great game and LeBron knew that.
