Draymond Green Says LeBron James Is The Only Player Who Can ‘Talk S**t’ About Accomplishments To Him

LeBron James and Draymond Green became big rivals during the 2010s, where the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors clashed in four NBA Finals. Draymond and his Warriors won three of those titles while LeBron beat them in the most memorable series of the four.

They are close friends, but this doesn’t change the fact that they are very competitive. Draymond is very confident in himself and recently explained that only LeBron can bark at him about accomplishments.

The Michigan State product knows that a lot of players like to trash talk using their honors, but Draymond doesn’t worry about them. He says the only one who can tell him anything is the Los Angeles Lakers superstar.

“I wouldn’t necessarily say it killed my pride because at the end of the day I knew that there was only one person in this league that can talk anything to me about anything basketball,” Green told The Ringer’s Logan Murdock. “And that’s LeBron. That was the only guy who could really talk s— about accomplishments or the game of basketball in this league.”

They have clashed on the court several times, having incredible duels where things have gotten heated. Still, at the end of the day, they are fierce competitors and the respect transcends whatever issue they might have on the court.

We’re having another edition of the LeBron vs. Warriors rivalry tonight, as the Los Angeles Lakers host the Golden State Warriors for the season opener. Draymond and co. will try to send an early statement by beating the Lakers Big 3 and showing that they will threaten the purple and gold this campaign.

Perhaps this will be a sneak peek of the 2022 Western Conference Finals, but time will tell how these two teams fare in a competitive conference.
