Dwight Howard decided to take one of the internet’s favorite formats and apply it to himself. He posed a question on Instagram where he asked his fans if they’d take $200K in cash or have a dinner with him. He later even raised the amount to $500K, and got over a thousand responses.

“This is actually a tough one.”

“I’ll take the 500K – but it’s all love lol.”

“Gimme that 200k Dwight, cmon man. I’ve already done several meet and greets with you with my son.”

“500k for sure lmao.”

“I’m taking the money, don’t hold yourself.”

“Love D12 but I need the money for bills and to save the small company. Can’t I just get both?”

“The money. Then dinner on me brah brah.”

“You ready? This how I’m coming to dinner.”

“I need the money respectfully.”

“Dwight. I’ll go with the money then take you out to a nice dinner, take you in my new BMW M5 and go to the sunset, roast marshmallows, play music, then spoil you with that 500k.”

“500k bro I need the money, I don’t need dinner with you. No offense.”

“Dwight is one of my favorite players all time, but I have to take the 200k. I could get an apartment.”

“What’s 200K one time when you can have the dinner, build a connection, and build a partnership that could lead to making more than 200K down the line?”

“We love Dwight as a player, but this is dumb. I don’t think anyone in the right mind or with no ‘love interest’ would pass up on 500K for dinner with Dwight.”

“Not even gonna lie, bro, in this economy? 200K is not life-changing. Sh*t can barely buy a house in a good neighborhood.”

“I love you Dwight but I’m gonna need that cash. That’s life-changing shi right there.”

“All y’all talk about dinner so he can teach you something. Like what? I mean what are you trying to learn? You wanna learn? Read books. Take the money and invest. Stop being willfully ignorant.”

“Who in their raggedy mind is skipping dinner with Superman?”

There were a lot of responses relating to Howard’s recent legal issues as well, so maybe this wasn’t the best time for Howard to make a post like this. While he still has a loyal fanbase of supporters, it doesn’t look like many people outside diehard fans even wrestled with the answer to this question.

Will Dwight Howard Return To The NBA?

Dwight Howard has made his intention to return to the NBA clear as day. He almost got a job this summer when he had a workout with the Golden State Warriors but ultimately wasn’t signed to the contract

His workout was inadvertently confirmed by Draymond Green, but he didn’t end up revealing why the Warriors chose to pass on him. It could be maintaining roster flexibility or it could have been because of the assault charges that were filed against Dwight a few weeks later.

Howard last played in the NBA for the Lakers in their doomed 2021-22 season, where he averaged d 6.2 points and 5.9 rebounds. At this point, it seems highly unlikely Howard will find his way onto an NBA team. He had a sensational career on the court and will eventually retire as an NBA Champion and three-time Defensive Player of the Year.
