Rapper Megan Thee Stallion sparked rumors that she was dating Dallas Mavericks star Klay Thompson with her Instagram post on Wednesday. A man who very much resembled Thompson could be seen in the background of a picture Stallion posted, and that sent social media into a frenzy.

Well, Thompson has now seemingly confirmed that he is dating Stallion with his Instagram post on Saturday. The 35-year-old shared two interesting pictures in it. The first was of Thompson embracing a woman whose characteristics matched Stallion’s, and the second was of him holding hands with said woman.

Some notable names from the basketball world certainly took notice. Thompson’s former Golden State Warriors teammate Draymond Green had a one-word reaction to this post.

“Killa!”

Draymond Green's comment on Klay Thompson's post.

Green was just one of a handful of former Warriors teammates of Thompson’s to react to the post.

“Woah, hard launch,” Ty Jerome commented.

“Klay should change his name to @easymoneysniper with that accuracy,” Nate Robinson wrote.

“There he gooooooo,” Quinn Cook stated.

“[King] Klay,” Matt Barnes commented.

Thompson and Stallion still haven’t spoken about their relationship, but you’d imagine it’s only a matter of time before they address the subject. It’s safe to say there’s a new power couple in town.

Stallion, who has won three Grammy awards, was previously linked to another NBA player, Torrey Craig. She had put up a clip on TikTok of them undertaking a “couples challenge,” but later deleted it. That romance appears to have flamed out now.

As for Thompson, he was previously dating actress Laura Harrier from 2018 to 2020. He was also linked to singer Coco Jones, who has now gotten engaged to Cleveland Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchell.

Will Thompson and Stallion end up going this route? Time will tell. Thompson is the only one of the famed Big 3 the Warriors once had who hasn’t tied the knot yet. Stephen Curry has been married to his wife, Ayesha, since 2011. Green, meanwhile, married Hazel Renee in 2022.

Thompson parted ways with Curry and Green by joining the Mavericks in 2024. The five-time All-Star averaged 14.0 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.4 blocks per game in his first season in Dallas.

Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely. He admired Marion’s finishing ability at the rim and his shooting, despite an unconventional jump shot, believing that Marion’s skill set would have been even more appreciated in today’s NBA.This transformative experience not only deepened his love for basketball but also shaped his approach to sports writing, enabling him to connect with readers through vivid storytelling and insightful analysis.
