Former NBA player Matt Barnes has been accused of infidelity by his fiancée Anansa Sims. In a now-deleted post on Instagram, Sims claimed Barnes cheated on her a total of eight times in January.

That was a shocking accusation but Sims wasn’t done there. In another post that has since been taken down, the model named the eight women Barnes had cheated on her with.

While Sims has taken down these posts, she hasn’t deleted a story she posted of Oprah Winfrey talking about the need to be careful about hurting people. The 46-year-old added one word to it, “Exactly.”

Here is what Winfrey said in that clip.

“Be careful when you decide to hurt someone because some people pray to God and when they cry, god counts every single teardrop that has fallen from their eyes,” Winfrey said. “Because Roman 12 verse 19 says, ‘Don’t take revenge, leave it for me and I will treat them as they treated you.'”

Well, Sims seems to believe Barnes will pay for his sins. This relationship has been somewhat of a troubled one and this is just the latest bad chapter.

Barnes and Sims first met all the way back in the 1990s, when they both were at UCLA. They lost touch after their college days but reconnected at the 2018 All-Star Game thanks to mutual friend Shaya Bryant, sister of Kobe Bryant, and started dating soon after.

In Dec. 2018, Barnes and Sims welcomed their first child, a boy named Ashton. Not too long after, though, it would appear cracks started to develop. In 2020, the couple split, with Sims reportedly filing a restraining order against Barnes. They eventually managed to mend fences and were back together a year later.

Barnes and Sims would get engaged in Dec. 2022 and then in Sept. 2024, welcomed another son named Austin. For her to seemingly find out that her fiancée has been cheating on her just months after the birth of their second child has to be a huge blow.

Barnes hasn’t responded to these allegations but the woman on top of that list shared by Sims has. Actress, reality television personality, and singer Masika Kalysha told The Shade Room that she isn’t having an affair with Barnes.

“I am absolutely in no way having an affair of any sort with Matt,” Kalysha said.

You wonder how this situation pans out from here on. Sims, daughter of supermodel Beverly Johnson, might be considering a split and no one would blame her if she did decide to part ways. You might think the children might prevent a split but that wasn’t the case in their previous relationships. Sims has three children with her ex-husband David Patterson while Barnes has two with his ex-wife Gloria Govan.
