Fans React After Skip Bayless Gets Flamed By Jenny Taft Live On Undisputed

3 Min Read

Skip Bayless is probably one of the most recognizable voices in sports journalism.

While the guy definitely knows his stuff (has been covering athletics for years), he is often the subject of heavy criticism, thanks to the often controversial and borderline-outlandish comments he tends to make.’

But on Wednesday, things got a little heated between him and his co-star, Jenny Taft, who hosts FOX’s Undisputed.

As they were preparing to transition to commercial break, Taft and Skip stirred up some fans after they got into a little altercation on-air.

The whole thing started after Skip made some comments on Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy.

“This is just personal preference on my part,” Skip argued. “I’m not taking a shot at him about this, but he’s a little heavy. And I wouldn’t want my head coach in the National Football League to not look the part at all because you got to stay in some semblance of condition to show you know who you are and have some confidence in yourself, right? He was just unimpressive across the board. I’m giving him no checkmarks.”

The conversation continued after Taft refuted Skip’s statement;

Taft: “I don’t know if I think that’s a fair shot for Mike McCarthy and I’m going to leave it at that.”

Bayless: “Thanks Jenny. I appreciate that.”

Taft: “Is everyone who’s a good coach as fit as you, Skip? I don’t think that’s a fair shot whatsoever.”

Bayless: “I said it was a personal preference. I wouldn’t want him to be my head coach.”

Taft: “I’ve actually had plenty of coaches that didn’t have the perfect physique, including my college coach, so I don’t think that’s a fair shot.”

The last, and perhaps most heated, comment came from Taft, who said this as the segment ended:

“I’m allowed to have an opinion, Skip. I’m allowed to say whatever I want to say on this show, as you do too.”

Most of the community, understandably, sided with Jenny, who made some really good points in her spat with Bayless.

Neither side has addressed the moment, and it’s unlikely either of them will. When you work together every day for two years, it’s only natural for some heated moments to surface.

Still, it won’t be something the fans will forget about for a while.
