Giannis Antetokounmpo has pretty much won every individual award imaginable in this league. He’s a dominant force near the rim, and he is well-known for being able to score on almost any defender in the paint. Currently, Giannis Antetokounmpo is averaging 29.9 PPG, 11.6 RPG, and 5.8 APG.

There is a legitimate possibility that Giannis Antetokounmpo could end up adding a scoring title and an MVP to his resume at the end of this season. However, Giannis Antetokounmpo recently revealed that he doesn’t really keep track of those things, as it holds him back from reaching his “full potential”.

It holds you back. I really believe in this. You don’t get to your full potential when you worry about the wrong things. I’m obsessed with basketball, I really want to be the best that I can be. I’ve showed it times and times that I’m about that. I’m not about scoring champ, I could care less. I’m not about MVP I could care less.

I just want to be the best player I can be. Wherever that takes me, I’m okay with that. So if I keep worrying about if I can win the scoring champ, who has done it in the past… it takes me away from the goals that I really want to achieve… I try to close my social media, throw all those distractions away.

It is clear that Giannis Antetokounmpo is a player that is more focused on winning basketball games with his team, rather than chasing individual accolades. He won the championship last year, and he has a legitimate chance of doing it again this year. Many consider him in contention for being the best player in the world.

The Milwaukee Bucks are currently the 2nd seed in the Eastern Conference. It remains to be seen who they will end up facing in the playoffs after the conclusion of the play-in tournament. There is a chance that they will end up facing the Brooklyn Nets in a rematch of last season’s playoff matchup, and that will definitely be a fantastic series. The Bucks will need Giannis Antetokounmpo to keep up his dominant performances in the playoffs, and with him leading them, they have a good chance against any other team.
