Giannis Antetokounmpo put on a show in his first game against the Miami Heat since they eliminated the Bucks in the 2023 Playoffs. scoring 33 points and earning an 8-point win. With the win secured, Giannis decided to attend the post-game press conference by wearing his Halloween costume, The Incredible Hulk.

If you had to point out parallels between NBA players and superheroes, comparing Giannis with The Hulk would be a pretty natural response. Giannis is one of the most jacked players in the league, especially at his size. He can look like Hulk based on his body size alone. Funnily enough, Giannis also primarily identifies with the color green, though the Bucks’ green is darker than the Hulk’s green.

The best commonality between the Hulk and Giannis would be their temperament. We’ve seen Giannis be one of the most sociable superstars in recent history, but that doesn’t mean he lacks an angry side.

His angry side is pretty polar opposite to his regular personality, as we saw him lash out at journalists after the Bucks playoff loss. In addition, Giannis definitely taps into the angry Hulk whenever he has to play James Harden. Nonetheless, it’s a great costume and it’s funny to see Giannis take so much joy in being a superhero even at his age.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Aiming To Win His Second Championship

This season is a pretty big one for the Milwaukee Bucks. After trading for Damian Lillard and extending Giannis Antetokounmpo, the team is set with the two big stars on their roster. They have a solid roster around them with the likes of Khris Middleton, Brook Lopez, and Bobby Portis Jr., but many will question if it’s enough, especially in the face of the Boston Celtics.

Giannis is a highly motivated athlete who will not want to face a repeat of what happened last playoffs, as the Bucks were eliminated in the first round at the hands of the eight-seed Miami Heat. The Bucks just won their first regular-season matchup against the Heat, so they’ll hope to carry that momentum into future matchups against the reigning Eastern Conference champions. Giannis has averaged 27.3 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 2.7 assists through the start of the season.

Damian Lillard had a fantastic debut with the Bucks, leading them to win with incredible shot-making but he instantly disappeared the next game. Lillard had a six-point game in the Bucks’ loss to the Hawks last night. He’s averaging 23.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.3 assists through three games.

The Giannis-Lillard duo can work and be extremely potent. Hopefully, the team can quickly isolate the strengths of their lineup and work towards winning a title as soon as this year. Giannis is motivated to bring home another title to Milwaukee, while Lillard will be extra motivated because this may be one of the final few chances he has of competing for a title while being one of the leading contributors to the roster.
