The Golden State Warriors have had ups and downs this season, struggling to show the same level they showed last campaign, fighting for different things instead of a top spot in the Western Conference.

They’ve been dealing with injuries and even the lack of development from certain players, especially James Wiseman. The young player is yet to show all the things the Warriors hoped to see from him since he was drafted in 2020 with the No. 2 overall pick, and it seems like the Dubs are getting tired of this situation.

With trips to the G League, Wiseman is still trying to find his rhythm in the association. The Warriors saw how players like Jordan Poole got really good after going to the development league, but Wiseman hasn’t shown the same level of improvement so far.

Golden State Warriors Reportedly Pitching James Wiseman To Rivals

Ric Bucher of Fox Sports (via Heavy) claims that the Warriors might be getting tired of this situation and have expressed their ‘frustration’ with other front offices around the league.

“The Warriors, a league source said, have indicated in conversations with other teams that the development of third-year center James Wiseman is not aligning with their hopes of squeezing another championship from the core of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green,” he wrote.

Bucher adds that this is a complex situation for both parties, as they aren’t on the same page right now.

“The Warriors’ willingness to move Wiseman appears to be two-fold, an Eastern Conference GM said — he isn’t ready to help them win a title, and they feel they’re doing him a disservice because he needs playing time to develop,” Bucher explained.

While some think that Wiseman can still be a good contributor in the league, the reality is that he’s not giving the Warriors what they want from him. Perhaps more time developing would be good for him, but it doesn’t look like the Dubs are in a good moment to give Wiseman the time he needs to improve his level.

This is a complex situation, and only time will tell how it ends. The Warriors are still trying to become a winning team, and some say Stephen Curry would like them to make a move before the trade deadline, but we still don’t know what will happen with them and Wiseman.
