Hawks Take 1-0 Lead vs. Sixers, NBA Fans React To Chaotic Game

2 Min Read

The Atlanta Hawks almost blew a big lead to the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 1 of their Eastern Semifinals series. The Hawks landed in Philly ready to shock the top-seeded in the East, just like they did with the New York Knicks in the prior round.

It seems like starting a series as visitors brings luck to the Hawks. They dominated most of the game, taking big leads against Philly, with Trae Young demonstrating he’s ready to play for big things.

Even though the Sixers threatened to come back later in the 4th quarter, the Hawks held to their advantage and secured the first win of the series. It was a terrific game that ended 128-124 in favor of the Hawks.

Some NBA fans reacted to this game, some mocking Doc Rivers for lining up players that can’t space the floor, others blasting the Hawks for almost blowing a big lead, while others just predicted how this series would end based on this game.

If this is the start of this series, we’re up for many emotions in the next games. These teams have a lot of talent, and although the Sixers are one of the favorites to win the East this season, the Hawks aren’t afraid of anybody.
