The Round 1 series between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Minnesota Timberwolves is getting exciting with each passing game. The Grizzlies are the higher seed so naturally, most fans and analysts picked them as the favorites to win the series, and that too with ease.
However, the Timberwolves won the first game of the series and shocked everyone. Following that win, Ja Morant and the Grizzlies won back-to-back games as they gained a 2-1 lead in the series.
Just when it felt like the scales had tipped in favor of the Grizzlies, the Timberwolves won Game 4 of the series and tied the series 2-2. While it has certainly been an entertaining ride for NBA fans, there is still something that has been bothering everyone.
Yes, we are talking about subpar officiating done by the refs when in the last few games. In fact, some even believe that this was done in order to tie the series 2-2 and help the Timberwolves before they go to Memphis. Any guesses on who said that? It was none other than NBA analyst Skip Bayless.
“REFS OBVIOUSLY WANT MINNESOTA TO WIN IN MINNEAPOLIS AND GO BACK TO MEMPHIS 2-2. DUMBFOUNDINGLY CRAZY CALLS.”

Skip Bayless and his ridiculous arguments are a match made in heaven. That is the case most times, but this time around, it seems like Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant agrees with Skip. Ja liked the above-mentioned tweet by Skip and an NBA fan on Twitter who took a screenshot of it and posted it on Twitter.

Contrary to what Skip believes and Ja seemingly agrees to, Kyle Theige of Canis Hoopus proved them wrong with statistics.
“Total number of fouls through the first four games of this playoff series: Timberwolves: 111 Grizzlies: 99.”

Skip and Ja might agree on this point, but the NBA analyst has now backtracked from picking Ja and the Grizzlies as the favorites to win.
With the series tied 2-2, it will be exciting to see how things turn out over the remaining games in the series.
