Isaiah Thomas is a former 2-time All-Star and has had one of the most interesting careers in the modern NBA. Thomas was drafted with the last possible pick by the Sacramento Kings in 2011 and went on to become an All-Star.

Despite playing at a high level in the modern NBA, Thomas’ career was derailed by injuries, and he’s only ever made about $35 million in salary. But he’s still trying to get into the league at the age of 34, and Jamal Crawford revealed that he has workouts scheduled with multiple teams in Las Vegas.

“BREAKING NEWS: Free agent Isaiah Thomas has a private workout set up tomorrow in Las Vegas for multiple NBA teams,” Crawford tweeted.

Despite his inability to build a long career, Isaiah Thomas is one of the most beloved NBA players in modern times. His injury being exacerbated by team negligence has made him someone that a lot of fans feel for, and want to see succeed. It’s interesting to wonder which franchises are thinking of potentially bringing him on, if he goes and wins a ring on the Denver Nuggets or Phoenix Suns, that would be amazing.

Isaiah Thomas last played in the 2021-22 season, he was on three different teams that year. Thomas played on the Los Angeles Lakers, the Dallas Mavericks, and the Charlotte Hornets, but only appeared in a total of 22 games during that season. He averaged 8.4 points per game in 15 minutes of average playing time, though, so he can certainly still score at the NBA level.

Isaiah Thomas Has Been Trying To Make A Comeback For A While

Thomas couldn’t find any team to give him even a short-term deal in the 2022-23 season, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a chance now. He hadn’t ruled out a comeback, even when he spoke about his situation in March

“Steady on the grind. Staying ready. Hopefully, something coming on my phone soon. But you know me, I’m just taking care of the family and staying in the gym. I’m just staying ready and staying as positive as I can during this situation. I still want to play in the NBA, so I’m going to work for that until I can’t.”

With the emphasis on size only getting more intense in the NBA, it’s tough to say if Thomas will get a deal even if he works out for a team. But it’s good to see that he is still getting an opportunity. The option to go play with Dwight Howard in Taiwan is always there, after all.
