It’s a good time to be a Minnesota Timberwolves fan. After struggling for years, the Timberwolves have finally clinched a spot in the playoffs. Although it is just their second playoff spot in the last 18 years, fans will certainly feel good about it.

Additionally, they worked really hard to get to this place. First, in the regular season and later in the play-in tournament against the Los Angeles Clippers. The spotlight was on Patrick Beverley, who seemed to ridicule the Clippers after defeating them.

In fact, Beverley celebrated like he won the championship and was laughed at for it by LeBron James and Kyle Kuzma. Anyway, our focus today is not on Beverley but it is superstar teammate Karl-Anthony Towns.

The All-Star big man was expected to be the biggest threat to the Clippers, but he was a complete non-factor. He was held to just 11 points and later in the game fouled out too.

So at first sight, it might seem that the Clippers’ defensive strategy against Towns did wonders, right? Well, that is not what KAT believes. In fact, he was adamant that the Clippers’ defense didn’t bother him at all.

“It didn’t work. It doesn’t irritate me at all. Went home very happy. Shoutout to the Clippers, too. They’ve done the best job all year of anybody with how they want to get the job done on me. And it forced my hand with passing.”

To be honest, KAT might claim that the Clippers’ defense didn’t irritate him but his box score and body language point toward a completely different story.

Regardless, with the playoffs starting soon and the Timberwolves scheduled to play against the second-seeded Minnesota Timberwolves, it’s about time Towns gets into the zone. Because against Ja Morant and the Grizzlies, they will be punished for making even small mistakes.
