Patrick Beverley got a measure of revenge over his former team the LA Clippers last night. Beverley, who now plays for the Minnesota Timberwolves, played a big part in the Timberwolves’ impressive comeback win over the Clippers in the play-in tournament. Minnesota will now go on to face Memphis in a first-round series, whereas the Clippers will play in a second play-in game to reach the playoffs.

In the post-game press conference, Patrick Beverley continued to take shots at his former team. Sitting next to Anthony Edwards, Patrick Beverley was asked what he told his former Clippers teammates after the game was over and their win was secured. Beverley, who has never been one to mince words, revealed that he told them to get home and that it would be a long flight back to Los Angeles for them.

“Take they a** home. Long flight to LA. Take ya’ll a** home.”

Beverley also went on Instagram live earlier in the evening and called out the LA Clippers. Beverley was with the franchise for many years but had a falling out with them over his contract last year, which led to him demanding a trade and ending up in Minnesota during the offseason. So clearly, Beverley still has some hard feelings towards his former team and made a statement last night on several occasions.

Beverley was very emotional when the game ended and was passionately celebrating and even coming to tears as the final buzzer sounded. LeBron James and Kyle Kuzma hilariously reacted to Pat Bev’s emotional celebration on Twitter. The win meant a lot to Beverley, not just because of the playoff implications, but because of whom he was playing against. For Beverley, this win would massively vindicate him.
