NBA players have to deal with fans heckling them on a constant basis. Heckling has become a consistent part of the NBA over the years, and has caused moments of controversy. After difficult games, sometimes players choose to respond to fans who are consistently mocking them.
That is exactly what Karl-Anthony Towns did to a Grizzlies fan last night. While walking back to the tunnel, KAT encountered a Grizzlies fan who was mocking him with gestures. Towns quickly reached out and swatted his arm away, the one he was using to make mocking gestures at him, as he walked back to the locker room.

Towns was clearly frustrated after yet another difficult game for the Timberwolves. After getting off to a strong start to the season where they went 3-1 in their first 4 games, the Timberwolves are now on a 5-game losing streak, the latest loss coming against the Grizzlies.
KAT had a decent game, scoring 25 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. But despite his efforts, and the collective play of the big three with D’Angelo Russell and Anthony Edwards, the Timberwolves couldn’t get the win against a Grizzlies team led by Ja Morant.
Going forward, the Timberwolves will want to get some momentum and start winning games. Even though their star players are putting up All-Star numbers, they are not able to win games. Their biggest problem is still on the defensive end. Despite the acquisition of Patrick Beverley, Minnesota is performing poorly on defense.
The Timberwolves front office will be worried about their poor start to the season. The core of KAT, D’Lo, and Edwards could win them a championship in the future. But constant losses will mean them missing the playoffs, and one of these players leaving the franchise in search of a winning franchise elsewhere.
