Kawhi Leonard might be one of the funniest players in the NBA. Leonard has an incredibly dry sense of humor and is usually very quiet. But every now and then, we get some hilarious gems from the former NBA champion.

Leonard has been out of the public eye for a while as he recovers from an ACL tear he suffered last year during the playoffs. And if anyone was curious as to what he was drinking during this time, Leonard has given the answer.

A video shared by the LA Clippers’ social media team shows Leonard walking through an empty arena with a small cup in his hand. The cameraman asked Leonard whether he was drinking coffee. Leonard told him that it wasn’t coffee in his cup, but it was alkaline water, a mix of hot water, and some lime juice. Leonard was quick to establish that coffee is not one of his go-to drinks.

“It ain’t coffee… Alkaline, my guy. Lime juice and hot water.”

Maybe an alkaline solution has become Leonard’s go-to during his recovery. Leonard has been working hard to try and get fit for the new season, as he and the Clippers continue to chase the franchise’s first NBA championship.

Leonard was out for the entirety of last season and is expected to be fit by the time the new NBA season tips off in October. Kawhi came to the Clippers as he wanted to play in his hometown.

The franchise has yet to reach the NBA Finals throughout its existence, and the presence of Leonard and his co-star Paul George will give them hope that they can break that streak and reach the pinnacle of the NBA. The Clippers have one of the best superstar duos in the NBA and will be aiming for an NBA championship next year.
