Damian Lillard is one of the best basketball players on the planet. He’s one of the greatest clutch performers of all time, a leader, and an unstoppable scorer from all three levels.
Sadly, though, that hasn’t translated into much success when it comes to the playoffs or winning an NBA Championship.
That’s why Lillard has often been tied to multiple teams and involved in trade rumors. Some believe that it’s just a matter of time before his frustration grows and he forces a trade out of the Portland Trail Blazers.
Recently, some meme pages mocked Lillard after his wedding, claiming that his wedding ring is the only ring he’ll ever get. Notably, former NBA player Kendrick Perkins showed up in his defense to say it was the most important ring:

Perk should know about what he’s talking about. Besides being a loving and caring father, he’s also a former NBA Champion.
The truth is that all NBA players have already won at life. Lillard is generationally wealthy and building a Hall of Famer kind of résumé. He’s one of the best players in Blazers history and has earned the respect of everybody around the league.
Hopefully, he’ll be able to find the success he deserves when it comes to winning more silverware, but it’s not like he’s got anything to prove.
