Kendrick Perkins Thinks That The Los Angeles Clippers Are The No. 1 Team In The West After Getting Rajon Rondo

2 Min Read

Rajon Rondo is a great veteran point guard, who without a doubt is a future Hall of Fame inclusion. Rondo is a multiple-time All-Star selection, as well as being one of the best passers in the game. He is also a two-time champion, whose championship experience is useful to any contending team. Recently, the Los Angeles Clippers filled their huge playmaking void by acquiring Rondo from the Atlanta Hawks.

Kendrick Perkins has recently stated that the Los Angeles Clippers are the No. 1 team in the Western Conference with Rajon Rondo’s acquisition. Perkins mentions Rondo’s leadership and passing as important factors for the Clippers.

It is clear that Kendrick Perkins is right. In some ways, Rajon Rondo was the perfect acquisition for the Los Angeles Clippers. Perkins mentions that Rondo takes the pressure to create for others off of the Clippers’ superstars. His passing meshes perfectly with the scoring of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, and his presence means that they can focus on scoring.

Rajon Rondo’s championship experience will be a clear boost for the Clippers, who are a team that aspires to win the championship. Serge Ibaka and Kawhi Leonard won one together in Toronto, and they surely want to taste victory once again. Paul George hasn’t won one yet. Hopefully, Rajon Rondo can fill a major role for the Clippers, and perhaps we may even see Playoff Rondo once again in the postseason this year.
