Kevin Love: “I Could Be That Guy That Pushes A Team Over The Edge.”

32-year-old Kevin Love isn’t fighting for a whole lot in Cleveland. On a 4-game losing streak and 13th in the East, the Cavaliers are nearing the end of another miserable season.

Love, stuck in the middle of it all, has already let his frustration show, going so far as to call the team’s current rebuild a “mindf-ck.”

Still, the 5x All-Star believes he can be a contributing piece on a title contender.

“When I am available and playing at a high level, I feel like I could be that guy that pushes the team really over the edge, puts them into contention,” Love said. “A guy that has playoff experience, has played with some of the greatest players if not the greatest player of all time in LeBron James.”

Love certainly has a lot left in the tank. Despite his season averages of 11.7 points and 6.4 rebounds per game on 39% shooting, he still shows flashes of stardom on the offensive end.

He has also been a leader and mentor for his young teammates in Cleveland, a role that he takes very seriously.

So, even amid troubling times for the Cavs, Love stands as both a remnant of the past and a transition for the future.

The question is, how much longer will he remain in Cleveland, and what will his game look like in a new environment?

That much remains to be seen but, for now, he’s going to keep on doing his thing.
