Kobe Bryant’s Reaction On LeBron James’ Decision To Create A Superteam In Miami

2 Min Read

LeBron James’ decision to join the Miami Heat in 2010 wasn’t well-received by everyone. In fact, it’s one of the most controversial moves in NBA history as instead of staying in Cleveland to win, he announced his intentions (on live tv) to join and build a superteam in Miami.

People have spent years analyzing and criticizing the choice but for Kobe Bean Bryant, he was just happy to see a friend succeed.

“I know him, we played together on Olympic team. He’s a friend so I’m happy for him… I’m happy for him because he seems to be happy with his decision, I’m happy for DWade for the situations that they have and Chris Bosh.”

Kobe wasn’t among those to criticize Bron because he did what made him happy. Coming from a guy who stayed with one franchise for 20 years, that means quite a bit.

Of course, Kobe wasn’t really one for the dramatics anyway. He stayed in his lane and encouraged others to do what made them happy. In the end, that’s all anyone really wants.

Good on Kobe to be mature enough to want the best for his colleagues, even if they were also considered his rivals and enemies. Perhaps we can all learn a thing or two about that…
