DeMar DeRozan nailed an amazing game-winner on Friday to beat the Indiana Pacers by two points.

He followed it up on Saturday with another stellar performance, hitting another game-winner to cap off a 28-point night.

It was Chicago’s seventh straight win and another excellent display for DeRozan, who is in the middle of his best season yet.

After the game, NBA stars were all over Twitter to offer their reactions.

After years in the Eastern Conference bunker, the Bulls have returned to a state of contention. Thanks to the heroics of Zach LaVine, Nikola Vucevic, and others the team has secured the top seed.

When it comes to impact, though, nobody on the team beats DeRozan, who is currently enjoying the best season of his career. Through 30 games so far, the 12-year veteran is averaging 26.8 points, 5 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game on 49.7% shooting.

After stints with the Raptors and Spurs, he joined the Bulls in 2021 as a free agent.

“What they were building,” said DeRozan. “When they made the move for Vucevic midway through the season last year, I was like “let me see what it is”… I’ve always been a fan of Zach, hell of a player, hell of a talent. He deserves everything that’s coming his way… Lonzo Ball, another player that has so much potential… It just felt right. It was something that I wanted to be a part of… Imagine going there and winning in Chicago.”

Over the years, Chicago has struggled to stay competitive, mostly thanks to poor decision-making by the front office.

Thanks to some right moves, they’re finally in a position to win.

Going forward, it remains to be seen how far they’ll be able to get. But if DeMar keeps going at his current pace, the sky is the limit.
