LeBron James Laughs At Kawhi Leonard And Paul George For Their Reactions During Clippers’ Intuit Dome Ceremony

It’s certainly an exciting time to be a Clippers fan.

A project, which has been years in the making, finally broke ground today, signaling the start of a rather bright and optimistic future for the franchise.

As the Clippers announced on Twitter today, construction for their new arena, the ‘Intuit Dome’ has begun, and is set to premiere in 2024.

To celebrate the construction of their new (eventual) home, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George attended a ceremony, which apparently featured live music.

Hilariously, neither one of them seemed very excited, and both looked to be wanting to be someplace — anyplace — else. Check out this video:

Somehow, it seems the Clippers always find themselves at the butt-end of a joke. Even LeBron James couldn’t help but make his feelings known:

Of course, many fans were quick to chime in and comment their own reactions. Here are some of the best Tweets that we saw:

It’ll be roughly 3-4 years before the dome is ready to be used for a full season, so the celebrations might be a bit premature.

For Kawhi and PG, especially, there have much bigger, more immediate things to think about.

After ending last season via a series loss in the Western Conference Finals, the Clippers have a lot of work to do if they want to secure a Championship in the near future.

But with no word on when Kawhi will be ready for action (in the aftermath of his partial ACL tear), there’s a good chance that they will suffer another early playoff exit next season, too.

At this point, however exciting their new arena might be, the Clippers are facing a lot of uncertainty about their path ahead. It’s really no wonder at all why Kawhi and PG have their minds somewhere else.
