LeBron James Reacts To The 71-Day NBA Offseason And It’s Not Good

LeBron James has reacted to the NBA’s start to the 2020/21 season, making it clear that he’s not a fan of the date and the calendar he and his team will face starting December 22. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski broke the news after the league and players agreed to the 72-game calendar and the start of the season in December.

“The National Basketball Players Association Board of Representatives voted on Thursday night to approve a plan for a December 22 start to the season that includes a reduced 72-game schedule, clearing the way for league and union to finalize details on the 2020-2021 season, sources tell ESPN.”

LeBron reacted to the news a couple of hours later, showing his discontent with the decision using a facepalm emoji on an Instagram story. Bron was showing fans that the league is having a 71-day offseason, the shortest offseason in NBA, NHL, MLB and NFL history.

Of course, fans reacted to LeBron’s reaction, with some agreeing that he will be tired while others will be rested when the NBA starts.

Most jobs get 2 weeks off a year. Be happy you have 2 months

Poor LeBron. He has to play after getting 71 days off after taking 4 months off earlier in the year

No b2b, less travel, still get 2.5 months off for the Lakers and Heat rest of the teams get more, what’s the problem?

Everybody was convinced that this decision was going to draw mixed reactions and that’s exactly what happened. LeBron will be 36 a couple of days after the start of the season and he doesn’t see this as a bad move by the league. Nevertheless, the decision has already been made and the King must get to work again 71 days after he won his 4th NBA championship.
