Retirement seems to be cropping up in the mind of LeBron James more often nowadays. He openly pondered hanging up his sneakers after losing in the Western Conference Finals, with fans now waiting to see when the all-time leading scorer will walk away from the game.

James gave an insight into his post-retirement plans on Twitter, talking about going on a cross-country road trip with Savannah James to CuffsTheLegend.

James may be preparing a list of things he wants to do after his career is over, but he is still playing and competing to win. LBJ averaged 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 6.8 assists last season before a foot tendon injury heavily restricted him through the playoffs. He had a record-breaking year but it’s clear he is gunning to become an NBA Champion once again.

The Lakers Loaded Up This Summer

The Lakers made no major move this summer, but that is exactly what they needed. Instead of having to trade multiple players to the Dallas Mavericks for Kyrie Irving, the Lakers have an impressively deep roster constructed by Rob Pelinka. Major free agents D’Angelo Russell, Rui Hachimura, and Austin Reaves have all returned on reasonable contracts.

They added wing depth by signing Taurean Prince, guard depth by adding Gabe Vincent, and finally got a big defensive center on the bench by bringing in Jaxson Hayes. They drafted Jalen Hood-Schifino as a defensive point guard and look to have a genuinely capable roster. They have enough depth to withstand some injuries, but everyone will be looking at LeBron and Anthony Davis to stay healthy.

This team can genuinely push for a title, especially with most top teams around the league staying pat or making risky moves that could blow up their chances of contention.
