The Los Angeles Lakers were defeated by the Denver Nuggets in a must-win Game 3, with the contest finishing 119-108. They are now facing a 3-0 deficit in the series, and no team has managed to overcome that in NBA history.

After the game, LeBron James spoke out about the team’s situation. He noted that the focus should be on winning “one at a time”, and added that the focus is only on Game 4. This is the right mindset to have, as it is easier to think about winning one game rather than four straight games.

LeBron James put up 23 points and 12 assists in Game 3, but it is clear that this was not enough to get the Los Angeles Lakers over the hump. Jamal Murray had an insane 30-point half, and the Denver Nuggets simply ended up outplaying the Los Angeles Lakers.

Many believe that this series is over and for good reason. However, LeBron James is an all-time great, and he notably led the comeback from down 3-1 against the Golden State Warriors in 2016 with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Though it is close to impossible that the Lakers will come back, one should never count out LeBron James.
