LeBron will be entering Year 20 next season, and sustaining the level of play he has for over two decades is going to be something we haven’t seen before in the sport and may never see again. Enough people marveled at Year 19 LeBron averaging 30 points, but what will everyone do if Year 20 LeBron bounces back from the worst regular-season record of his career to lead the Lakers to another championship?
That situation will be incredibly tough to pull off, but LeBron is finding a lot of content on social media to inspire him to be better. He shared one of these clips on his Instagram with the caption ‘I don’t expect you all to understand’.
Inspiration works differently for everyone. This clip is also telling a story of everything LeBron has already achieved despite the constant hate he has been receiving for years now. James is one of the most-hated athletes according to hate posts on social media, so he does have the aspect of becoming a misunderstood figure already impacting his life.
If James can push himself further and avoid an injury, he may make his name undisputed in terms of the longest peak ever. However, it is unlikely that LeBron can replicate some of Jordan’s achievements in his prime now at the age of 37.
Hopefully, LBJ’s twilight makes everyone appreciate his other-worldly talents on the basketball floor. If he can win a title or add to his accolades, it will be an amazing feat that will create a legacy in itself.
