Anthony Davis’ tenure with the Los Angeles Lakers has taken a turn to the worst. After landing in 2019 with expectations of winning the NBA championship, the big man has struggled to find his touch in the league over the past two seasons.

Things started very well two years ago, with AD winning his first ring in the Orlando bubble and helping his squad reach the promised land in his first campaign in California.

Ever since that, Davis’ career has gone downhill. Injuries have bothered him, and his level of play has decreased. Fans and media members have attacked him for his poor performances, even claiming he lost the desire to win after winning the title.

This could open the door for AD to leave the team, as an analyst recently claimed. According to Jason Smith of Fox Sports Radio, Davis could be on his way out of the Purple and Gold via trade.

“I can see the Anthony Davis era with the Lakers ending with him being traded. This is not working, LeBron is at the end of his run and AD is at the end of his run. So now, we gotta get 3 guys that we can pay to come in here that are going to go win championships together and we’re redoing the Lakers.”

Davis is under fire after his recent performances. The former New Orleans Pelicans player has struggled to find his best version. He recently sustained a knee injury that will keep him sidelined for four weeks.

Lakers fans hope to see him soon, playing great and returning to his best version. If the Lakers aspire to win the title, Davis must be healthy and ready to compete as he did during his first season with the Purple and Gold.
