Giannis Antetokounmpo is a power forward considered to be dominant on both ends of the floor. He is adept at scoring near the basket, often overpowering defenders and dunking on them. Antetokounmpo is also a fantastic rim protector, and can also guard multiple positions on the court as well. Giannis Antetokounmpo is averaging 27.8 PPG, 13.3 RPG, and 7.2 APG.

There is no doubt that Giannis Antetokounmpo’s prowess on the court has made many people believe that he is the best player in the world. The most recent person to come out with that opinion is Lakers legend Magic Johnson, who declared Giannis Antetokounmpo the best player in the world after he defeated the Boston Celtics in Game 1.

The World Champion Milwaukee Bucks beat the Celtics in Game 1, led by the best player in basketball, Giannis Antetokounmpo, who finished with 24 points, 12 assists and 13 rebounds!

Giannis Antetokounmpo may not win the MVP award this season, but he should definitely be considered the best player in the world right now. There are few players that can rival his offensive production and defensive ability. He is also the reigning Finals MVP, and it is clear that the Milwaukee Bucks have a good chance of beating any team with him on the court.

Despite his abilities, he definitely has some detractors, and Bill Simmons even went as far as to say that Giannis Antetokounmpo might be the most disrespected superstar of our generation, due to the fact that nobody wants to give him his flowers.

“I am feeling like Giannis, I don’t know if he’s there yet, but I think we’re edging there, is becoming the most disrespected superstar of his generation. You laid out some of the case today for why he should absolutely be thrown into the MVP race in every conversation. It’s not just Jokic vs Embiid, which I agree with. Just in general, I’ve never seen people go out of their way to look for more reasons not to declare somebody either the best player in the league or 1B to Durant if we’re gonna do that.”

“He answered every question we had in the Finals last year. He plays hurt, he comes through on the biggest stages, he has iconic plays, he handles his business the right way, he crushes on both ends. He’s the best defensive player in the league. He’s averaging 30, 11, and 6. He’s carried a team that’s had a lot of moving pieces during the year. he never misses games or really seems to get hurt. He’s a true freak. He’s in the prime of his career. What am I missing?”

If Giannis Antetokounmpo is able to lead the Milwaukee Bucks to another championship this season, it is hard to see anyone denying that he is the best player in the world. However, everyone has haters, so some people are bound to disagree with that opinion.

The Milwaukee Bucks have taken Game 1 from the Boston Celtics already, and that is a good step towards their pursuit of a back-to-back championship. Hopefully, they are able to make it back to the Finals, and Giannis Antetokounmpo could definitely bring them there.
