LeBron James has been turning back the clock once again with some of his recent performances. Despite the loss on Christmas day, the King put up a whopping 38 points against the Dallas Mavericks. And that was simply a precursor, as it turned out. LeBron James exploded against the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night, putting up a monster performance with 47 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists.

LeBron James was rightly praised for his performance. Fans were in awe of what he is still able to do at his age, with the King turning 38 on the night of his huge performance. He even managed to achieve a unique record, becoming the player that has scored the most number of points in his career while playing on his birthday. But the man who convinced LeBron James to join the Lakers has also spoken, giving the King his flowers on social media.

Magic Johnson Put LeBron James In His Top 4 NBA Players Of All Time By Saying He’s On The League’s Mount Rushmore

Magic Johnson is someone that has a case to be considered a Top 5 player to ever play in the league. His ability with the ball was like no other player’s, and he achieved just about everything during his career. So when he names his lists of the best players of all time, it’s something people take notice of. And while he didn’t name the rest of his Mount Rushmore, he was quick to say that the King belongs there.

“Wishing a happy birthday to @KingJames who’s definitely on my Mount Rushmore of NBA players! I hope the dream you have to one day play in the NBA with your son comes to fruition!”

Considering that LeBron James has been in the GOAT conversation in recent seasons, it should be a no-brainer that he is on Mt. Rushmore. But not everyone agrees that the King should even be considered among the 5 best players in NBA history. Those takes are a little absurd, though, considering that no player in history has achieved a lot of things that James has. When he breaks Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record, we can expect the conversation about his place in the all-time rankings to get loud once again.
